# Fair Launch

Base.meme is a cutting-edge platform designed for memecoin creators and traders, streamlining the token creation and trading process. With just a small amount of gas, users can launch a new token by simply entering a name and uploading an image—no coding or complex setup required.

Tokens follow a pricing curve, allowing users to buy and sell seamlessly in a fair and transparent market. Once a token reaches its funding target (Bonding Curve completion), Base.meme automatically injects liquidity into Uniswap V4 for coins created on or after December 5, 2025 whereas for coins created before December 5, 2025 will be migrated to Uniswap V3. Both pool type will be permanently lock to ensuring safety and long-term liquidity.

Base.meme supports two creation modes:

1. **Standard mode**: uses the platform defaults (fixed supply and default allocations).
2. **Advanced mode**: lets creators customize the **funding target** (`Raised`) and token allocation for **Bonding Curve** and **Vesting**. **Pool Migration** allocation remains fixed at 20%. Additionally, create is able to assign a recipient for vested token and claim it gradually over time after graduation. These parameters are fixed once the coin is created.

**On Base.meme, creators can earn rewards both during the Bonding Curve phase and from trading activity on DEX platforms.** This provides ongoing incentives for creators throughout the token's lifecycle. For detailed information about the reward mechanisms and how to claim them, please refer to the [rewards section](/fees-rewards/rewards-on-base-meme).

Base.meme implement a two-phase process for every token launch:

1. **Bonding Curve Phase (Token Sale)**
2. **Liquidity Pool (LP) Phase (DEX Trading)**

***

## How it Works: Step by Step

### Phase 1: Bonding Curve (Token Sale Mechanism)

Base.meme’s token pricing system is built on a bonding curve, ensuring a gradual and predictable price increase as more tokens are purchased. Each token launched on the platform follows a fixed total supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens, all adhering to the same economic model.

* **Standard mode token allocation:**
  * Total token supply = 1,000,000,000 (1 billion)
  * 80% of tokens (800 million) are allocated to sell through the bonding curve phase
  * 20% of tokens (200 million) are reserved for liquidity pools
* **Advanced mode**\
  The funding target and token allocations may differ from the defaults (while Pool Migration remains fixed at 20%). Creator decide their desire allocation during token creation and not changeable afterward.

Through the bonding curve mechanism, users can mint tokens at a fair, market-driven price. The price is determined by a mathematical formula, not arbitrary listings, ensuring transparency and fairness for all participants.

To complete this phase, a certain amount of collateral (Base ETH / USDC / SOL) is required to reach the coin’s funding target. Once the target is reached, the process moves to the next phase.

### Phase 2: Liquidity Pool (LP Creation)

Once the bonding curve phase is completed, the remaining tokens and accumulated collateral are used to establish a liquidity pool (LP), enabling seamless trading while ensuring price stability and long-term liquidity. In **Standard mode**, after 80% of the tokens are sold, the remaining 20% (200M tokens) are used to create an LP on Uniswap. In **Advanced mode**, the exact amounts depend on the coin’s configuration.

* The collected collateral (after deducting platform and network fees) is paired with the remaining 200M tokens to create the initial liquidity pool.
* The final LP consists of the paired assets, allowing open-market trading on Uniswap.
* Once in the LP, token price follows a constant product formula, with supply and demand determining price movements.
* At this stage, the token is now traded on Uniswap.

***

## Why Choose Bonding Curve Fair Launch?

* **No pre-sale, no insiders, no team reserves:** Truly community-driven.
* **Market-driven pricing:** Prevents manipulation and dumping risks.
* **Permanently locked liquidity:** Eliminates rug pull risks.
* **Low entry barrier:** Anyone can launch a token with a single click.

***

## Summary

Base.meme ensures a transparent, fair, and decentralized launch process for every new token. By leveraging the bonding curve and automated liquidity injection, it provides a level playing field for all participants and long-term security for every project.

# Gas Fees

What is gas and why do we need to pay it?

## Why do I pay gas?

Base.meme is a portal that creates blockchain transactions to create, buy & sell tokens using your connected wallet. Your wallet is used to pay the gas fee in the native currency of the respective chain, which is ETH on Base Chain.

## What is gas?

Gas is essential to blockchain networks. It is the fuel that allows them to operate in the same way that a car needs gasoline to run. Gas is a fee required to successfully conduct a transaction on the blockchain and keeps the network secure.

## Do gas fees go to Base.meme?

No, gas fees do not go to Base.meme.

## Why does gas change?

Gas fluctuates with increased/decreased demand and the price of the native token. Due to gas price fluctuation, the cost of transactions will differ depending on the transaction type and token price. When the networks are experiencing a high volume of transactions, the fee will be higher. Users can wait for the gas price to come down or submit a price they are willing to pay and wait for the transaction to be confirmed; however, if the gas price limit is too low, validators can ignore such transactions.

# Standard Mode Creation

Standard mode is the default, simplest way to create a coin on Base.meme. It uses the platform defaults for funding target and token distribution.

![Standard mode creation screen](https://2048234607-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F65y0SyGKhKm2kMgGeddO%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-3b730eee43c52245da511344b2e1e1f987b8f8d4%2Fcreate_standard.png?alt=media)

## Step-by-step guide

1. Keep **Standard** selected.
2. Fill in the coin details (see field reference below).
3. Select a **Payment Token** (ETH / USDC / SOL).
4. Configure **Tax** settings (optional).
5. **Initial token purchase** (optional)
   * You have the opportunity to purchase a portion of the token supply in the same transaction to help protect your launch from snipers.
6. When you're finished, click **Create Coin** and approve the transaction prompt from your wallet.

Note: Coin details can’t be changed or edited after creation, choose carefully.

Your coin is now live once creation completes. After your upload has been processed, your coin will be ready to trade and share with your community.

## Field reference

### Coin Name

The name of your coin as displayed across Base.meme.

### Ticker Symbol

Your coin’s ticker (for example, `PEPE`). This is used to identify your coin when trading.

### Description (optional)

A short description of the coin. This is shown on the coin page and helps traders understand what the coin is about.

### Social links (optional)

Links to your project’s social accounts (for example X / Telegram / Website). These appear on the coin page to help your community find the official channels.

### Media

Upload a cover image or video for your coin.

* Supported formats: JPG, PNG, GIF, MP4
* Max size: 2GB

### Payment Token

The token used as the backing currency during the Bonding Curve phase (for example ETH, USDC, or SOL). It also determines the denomination shown for fees and rewards.

### Tax Configuration (optional)

Configure a token tax that is charged on every transfer and trade. Tax is optional — setting the rate to 0% disables it.

* **Tax Rate**: The percentage charged on each transfer and trade (default 0%).
* **Distribution Split**: Allocate the collected tax across four channels:
  * **Funds Recipient** — direct revenue to a designated wallet (or to a Vault, see below).
  * **Holder Dividend** — proportional distribution to all token holders.
  * **Token Burn** — buyback and burn to reduce circulating supply.
  * **Add to Liquidity** — routes tax back into the Uniswap V2 liquidity pool.
* **Funds Recipient Address**: The wallet that receives the Funds Recipient share. Defaults to the creator wallet.

Tax parameters are fixed at creation and cannot be changed afterward. For full details, see the [Tax Token](/fees-rewards/tax-token) page.

### Vault Type (optional)

When Tax is enabled, you can optionally select a **Vault** in place of the Funds Recipient address. The Vault is a strategy contract that automatically manages the tax revenue routed to the Funds Recipient channel. The available Vault types are:

* **SnowBall** — All tax revenue is used for continuous buyback & burn, creating pure deflation. [Learn more](/vaults/snowball)
* **BurnDividend** — Starts with buyback & burn, then transitions to a dividend model when the first holder burns tokens. Burners earn a proportional share of future tax revenue. [Learn more](/vaults/burndividend)
* **Gift** — A designated X (Twitter) account controls where tax revenue goes. Requires posting a management tweet at least once every 7 days; otherwise falls back to buyback & burn. [Learn more](/vaults/gift)
* **Split** — Tax revenue is automatically distributed among up to 10 recipients based on pre-configured percentage shares. [Learn more](/vaults/splitvault)

Vault selection requires **ETH** as the payment token. The Vault type is fixed at creation and cannot be changed afterward. For a full overview, see the [Vaults](/vaults) page.

### Initial token purchase (optional)

If available in your flow, you can optionally buy a portion of the supply in the same transaction to help protect the launch from snipers.

# Advanced Mode Creation

Advanced mode is a two-step creation flow for creators who want more control over the launch parameters. All advanced settings are fixed once the coin is created and can’t be edited later.

## Step-by-step guide

### Step 1: Basic info

### Advanced options

#### Payment Token

Select the payment token that backs the coin (for example ETH, USDC, or SOL). The `Raising Goal` value is denominated in this token.

#### Raising Goal (Funding Target)

`Raising Goal` is the amount of the selected payment token that must be collected before triggering graduation and migrating liquidity to the AMM.

* **Range:** must be between **50%** and **100×** of the default `Raising Goal` value for the selected payment token.
* **Example (ETH):** minimum is **1.25 ETH**.

#### Token distribution

Token distribution controls how the total token supply is split between the sale and post-graduation liquidity, with an optional vesting option.

* `Bonding Curve`: set the amount of tokens sold on the bonding curve (**min 50%**, **max 80%**).
* `Pool Migration`: fixed at **20%**. Remaining tokens (after vesting, if any) will be migrated to the Uniswap pool upon graduation.
* `Creator Vault`: allocate a portion of the supply to be locked and released over time after graduation (**0% to 30%**). Vested tokens are not sold on the bonding curve.

Note: The percentages must add up to 100%. Since `Pool Migration` is fixed at 20%, the `Bonding Curve` + `Creator Vault` total must equal 80%.

Vesting lets you lock a portion of the token supply and release it gradually over time. Vested tokens are reserved for the vesting recipient and are not sold on the bonding curve. After the coin graduates and migrates liquidity, vesting begins (optionally after lockup duration) and continues until the full vesting duration completes.

#### Creator Vault settings

Vesting settings are only shown when `Creator Vault` is greater than 0%. If `Creator Vault` is set to 0%, the Vault & Vesting Setup fields will be hidden.

<figure><img src="https://2048234607-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F65y0SyGKhKm2kMgGeddO%2Fuploads%2F1k0iIXv47X5Ju6WxDRDZ%2FT.png?alt=media&amp;token=3fc0bdb0-a52a-4fbe-9997-0f582bf7bd14" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

When vesting is enabled, configure:

* `Vault Recipient`: the address that will receive the vested tokens. Defaults to the creator wallet address.
* `Vesting Period`: The number of days it takes for locked tokens to be released linearly after the lockup period ends.
* `Lockup Period` (optional): The number of days tokens remain locked after migration before vesting start.

Vesting starts after graduation (migration) and any configured lockup period, then releases tokens gradually over the vesting duration.

#### Tax Configuration (optional)

Configure an optional token tax that is charged on every transfer and trade. Tax parameters are fixed at creation and cannot be changed afterward.

* **Tax Rate**: The percentage charged on each transfer and trade (default 0%). Setting this to 0% disables the tax feature.

For full details on how Tax works, see the [Tax Token](/fees-rewards/tax-token) page.

#### Vault Type

When Tax is enabled, you can optionally select a **Vault** to automatically manage the tax revenue routed to the **Funds Recipient** channel. Instead of sending those funds to a single wallet, the Vault deploys a strategy contract that takes the Funds Recipient's place. The available Vault types are:

* **SnowBall** — All tax revenue is used for continuous buyback & burn, creating pure deflation. [Learn more](/vaults/snowball)

# Vaults

Vaults are smart contracts that automatically manage the tax revenue collected from a token's trades and transfers. When a creator enables the **Tax Token** feature, they can optionally attach a Vault to control how a portion of that tax is used — whether for buyback & burn, dividends, social gifting, or multi-party revenue sharing.

Each Vault type offers a different strategy for managing the collected tax:

| Vault Type                           | Strategy        | Summary                                                                                                                                  |
| ------------------------------------ | --------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| [SnowBall](/vaults/snowball) | Buyback & Burn | All tax revenue is used to buy back and permanently burn tokens, creating continuous deflation. |
| [BurnDividend](/vaults/burndividend) | Burn-to-Earn | Starts with buyback & burn, then transitions to a dividend model where holders burn tokens to earn a share of future tax revenue. |
| [Gift](/vaults/gift) | Social Gifting | A designated X (Twitter) account controls where tax revenue is directed. If inactive for 7 days, the vault falls back to buyback & burn. |
| [Split](/vaults/splitvault) | Revenue Sharing | Tax revenue is automatically distributed among up to 10 recipients based on pre-configured percentage shares. |

***

## How Vaults Are Created

Vaults are created automatically when a token is launched with the appropriate tax configuration. The Vault type is selected during token creation in both **Standard** and **Advanced** modes.

Once created, the Vault type and its parameters cannot be changed.

***

## Common Concepts

### Buyback & Burn

Several Vault types use a buyback & burn mechanism:

1. Tax revenue (in the payment token, e.g. ETH) accumulates in the Vault.
2. A Keeper Bot periodically triggers a buyback — purchasing the token from Uniswap V2.
3. The purchased tokens are sent to `0x...dEaD` and permanently removed from circulation.

This creates a deflationary pressure: the more trading activity, the more tokens are burned.

### Keeper Bots

Keeper Bots are automated services that trigger Vault operations (buybacks, distributions, state transitions). They run in the background and require no action from creators or holders.

### Emergency Safeguards

All Vaults include safety mechanisms:

* **Reentrancy protection** to prevent exploits.
* **Slippage protection** on buyback operations.
* **Emergency withdrawal** for the platform to recover stuck funds without affecting user balances.
* **Token rescue** to recover mistakenly sent ERC-20 tokens (the Vault's own token cannot be rescued).

# SnowBall Vault

The SnowBall Vault is the simplest Vault type — it takes all tax revenue and uses it to buy back and burn tokens. No dividends, no complexity. Just continuous deflation.

***

## How It Works

```
Tax Revenue (ETH) → Vault → Buyback on Uniswap V2 → Burn to 0x...dEaD
```

1. Every trade and transfer on the token generates tax (configured by the creator).
2. The tax revenue flows into the SnowBall Vault.
3. A Keeper Bot periodically calls the Vault to execute a buyback — purchasing the token from Uniswap V2 using the accumulated funds.
4. The purchased tokens are sent to the dead address (`0x...dEaD`) and permanently destroyed.

This cycle repeats as long as the token is being traded. More activity means more tax, more buybacks, and more tokens burned.

***

## Key Characteristics

* **Pure deflation** — 100% of the tax revenue allocated to this Vault is used for buyback and burn. There are no dividends or other distributions.
* **Automatic execution** — Keeper Bots handle all buyback operations. No manual action is needed from the creator or holders.
* **Transparent tracking** — The Vault tracks cumulative statistics including total funds spent on buybacks and total tokens burned.
* **Slippage protection** — Each buyback includes a minimum output check to prevent unfavorable trades.

***

## Who Benefits

All token holders benefit equally from the SnowBall Vault. As the circulating supply decreases over time, each remaining token represents a larger share of the total supply.

***

## When to Use SnowBall

SnowBall is ideal for creators who want a straightforward, set-and-forget deflationary mechanism. It works best for tokens where:

* The community values long-term supply reduction.
* The creator wants a simple, transparent tokenomics model.
* No dividend or reward distribution is needed.

# BurnDividend Vault

The BurnDividend Vault combines two mechanisms in a single lifecycle: it starts with automatic buyback & burn (like SnowBall), then transitions into a dividend model where holders can burn their tokens to earn a proportional share of future tax revenue.

***

## Two-Phase Lifecycle

### Phase 1: Buyback Mode (Automatic)

```
Tax Revenue (ETH) → Vault → Auto Buyback & Burn
```

When the Vault is first created, it operates in **Buyback mode**:

* Tax revenue flows into the Vault.
* When the balance reaches the threshold (0.025 ETH), the Vault automatically executes a buyback — purchasing and burning tokens.
* Buybacks are triggered automatically as ETH arrives, with no Keeper Bot intervention needed.
* If a buyback fails, the funds stay in the Vault and the next incoming deposit will retry.

This phase reduces the token's circulating supply, similar to the SnowBall Vault.

### Phase Transition

The transition from Buyback to Dividend mode is triggered by the **first user burn**:

1. Any holder calls the burn function for the first time.
2. The Vault automatically uses all remaining ETH for one final buyback & burn.
3. The Vault switches to Dividend mode. **This transition is irreversible.**

### Phase 2: Dividend Mode

```
Tax Revenue (ETH) → Vault → Distributed proportionally to all burners
```

Once in Dividend mode:

* **Burning tokens** — Holders voluntarily burn their tokens to earn a share of future tax revenue. Burned tokens are permanently destroyed.
* **Earning dividends** — All subsequent tax revenue flowing into the Vault is distributed proportionally based on each holder's share of the total burned amount.
* **Claiming rewards** — Holders can claim their accumulated ETH dividends at any time.

***

## How Dividends Are Calculated

Your dividend share is determined by how many tokens you've burned relative to the total amount burned by all participants:

```
Your Share = Your Burned Amount ÷ Total Burned Amount
```

The more tokens you burn, the larger your share of ongoing tax revenue. Dividends accumulate continuously as new tax revenue enters the Vault and can be claimed at any time.

***

## Key Characteristics

* **Dual benefit** — Early buybacks reduce supply (benefiting all holders), then dividends reward active participants who burn tokens.
* **Irreversible transition** — Once Dividend mode activates, the Vault never returns to Buyback mode.
* **Safe claiming** — If a dividend transfer fails, the funds are queued and can be claimed again later. No funds are lost.
* **No minimum burn** — Any amount of tokens can be burned to start earning dividends.

***

## When to Use BurnDividend

BurnDividend is ideal for tokens where:

* The creator wants both deflation and holder rewards.
* The community is incentivized to actively participate in tokenomics by burning.
* A two-phase model (early growth via deflation → long-term rewards) fits the project's narrative.

# Gift Vault

The Gift Vault connects a token's tax revenue to an X (Twitter) account. A designated X user — the **Gift Owner** — controls where the tax funds are directed. If the Gift Owner stops engaging, the Vault automatically falls back to buyback & burn.

***

## How It Works

### Assigning a Gift Owner

During token creation, the creator specifies an X (Twitter) handle as the Gift Owner. This account gains the ability to direct the token's tax revenue to any EVM wallet address.

### Managing the Vault via Tweet

The Gift Owner controls the Vault by posting a tweet in a specific format:

```
gift the fee from [token_address] to [wallet_address] #BasememeGift
```

Once the tweet is detected and verified, the tax revenue is forwarded to the specified wallet address. The Gift Owner can change the destination at any time by posting a new tweet.

### 7-Day Grace Period

The Gift Owner must post a valid management tweet **at least once every 7 days** to maintain control. If 7 days pass without a new tweet, the Vault automatically transitions to **Fallback mode** (buyback & burn), and control is permanently lost.

***

## Vault States

The Gift Vault has three states:

| State                   | Description                                                                                                                     |
| ----------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Accumulating** | Tax revenue is collecting in the Vault, waiting for the Gift Owner's first management tweet. |
| **Streaming** | The Gift Owner has taken control. Tax revenue is forwarded to the wallet address specified in the latest tweet. |
| **Fallback (SnowBall)** | The Gift Owner failed to post within 7 days. The Vault permanently switches to buyback & burn mode, just like a SnowBall Vault. |

```
Accumulating → (first tweet verified) → Streaming → (7 days without tweet) → Fallback SnowBall
```

***

## Key Characteristics

* **Social proof** — Vault management is tied to public X (Twitter) activity, creating transparency and accountability.
* **Flexible routing** — The Gift Owner can redirect tax revenue to any wallet address at any time, simply by posting a new tweet.
* **Built-in accountability** — The 7-day timeout ensures inactive Gift Owners lose control, protecting token holders.
* **Safe fallback** — If the Gift Owner goes inactive, the Vault defaults to buyback & burn, which benefits all token holders.
* **Immutable assignment** — The Gift Owner's X handle is set at token creation and cannot be changed.

***

## Who Benefits

* **Gift Owners** can earn ongoing revenue from a token's tax without holding or trading the token themselves.
* **Token holders** benefit from the accountability mechanism — if the Gift Owner becomes inactive, all tax revenue goes toward reducing the token supply.
* **Creators** can use Gift Vaults to incentivize influencers, community leaders, or partners by giving them control over a revenue stream tied to the token's success.

***

## When to Use Gift Vault

Gift Vault is ideal for:

* Tokens created to support or reward a specific X (Twitter) personality.
* Community-driven projects where an influencer or KOL manages the revenue.
* Scenarios where the creator wants to tie token economics to social engagement.

# Split Vault

The Split Vault distributes a token's tax revenue across multiple recipients based on pre-configured percentage shares. Instead of sending all market earnings to a single wallet, the tax is automatically split among up to 10 different addresses.

***

## How It Works

```
Tax Revenue (ETH) → Split Vault → Automatic distribution to recipients by share %
```

1. Every trade and transfer generates tax, and the market share of that tax flows into the Split Vault.
2. When ETH arrives, the Vault automatically attempts to distribute it to all configured recipients.
3. Each recipient receives their configured percentage of every distribution.

***

## Configuration

Split Vault recipients are configured during token creation and **cannot be changed afterward**.

* **Recipients**: 1 to 10 wallet addresses.
* **Shares**: Each recipient has a percentage share (in basis points). The total must equal exactly 100% (10,000 bps).

### Example

| Recipient        | Share |
| ---------------- | ----- |
| Creator wallet   | 60%   |
| Marketing wallet | 25%   |
| Community fund   | 15%   |

In this example, for every 1 ETH of tax revenue, the creator receives 0.6 ETH, the marketing wallet receives 0.25 ETH, and the community fund receives 0.15 ETH.

***

## Distribution Mechanism

### Automatic Distribution

When ETH enters the Vault, it automatically tries to distribute funds to all recipients in the same transaction. This works seamlessly for standard wallet addresses.

### Manual Claiming

If an automatic distribution fails for a specific recipient (for example, if the recipient is a contract with a complex `receive()` function), the funds are safely held in the Vault. Recipients can then manually claim their share at any time:

* **Dispatch** — triggers distribution to all recipients with unclaimed balances.
* **Claim** — a specific recipient withdraws their own accumulated balance.

No funds are lost if automatic distribution fails — they remain in the Vault until claimed.

***

## Key Characteristics

* **Multi-recipient** — supports up to 10 different wallet addresses, each with a configurable share.
* **Immutable configuration** — recipients and their shares are fixed at token creation and cannot be changed.
* **Best-effort auto-distribution** — funds are distributed automatically when received, with manual fallback if needed.
* **Native token only** — Split Vault currently supports native payment tokens (ETH) only.
* **Transparent tracking** — all distributions and claims are recorded on-chain via events.

***

## When to Use Split Vault

Split Vault is ideal for:

* Projects with multiple stakeholders who share the token's tax revenue.
* Tokens where the creator wants to allocate earnings to different wallets (e.g., operations, marketing, community treasury).
* Teams that want transparent, automated, and trustless revenue sharing without manual transfers.

# Rewards on Base.meme

Base.meme’s mission is to make the internet valuable and free—that’s why we’re building a platform that makes creating and trading coins easy, fun, and rewarding.

***

## Breakdown of our Rewards:

Our Rewards enable creators and developers on Base.meme to earn from trading activity through two distinct reward systems: **Trade Rewards (Bonding Curve Phase)** and **Market Rewards (Uniswap Phase)**.

### 1. Trade Rewards

When trades happen during the Bonding Curve phase on Base.meme, fees are distributed as follows:

**2% total fee:**

* 1% to Creator Rewards
* 0.2% to Trade Referral Rewards
* 0.2% to Create Referral Rewards
* 0.6% to Base.meme

**Important notes:**

* Trade rewards for both buy and sell activity are paid in the pair token selected at token creation, which may be ETH, USDC or SOL on Base.
* Trade rewards are only earned on trades that happen during the Bonding Curve phase on Base.meme.

### 2. Market Rewards (After Graduation)

After a coin graduates, trading moves from the Bonding Curve on Base.meme to a Uniswap market. The fee and distribution depend on **when the coin was created**.

Coins created **on or after December 5,** **2025**will be migrated to **Uniswap V4** after graduat&#x65;**.** All trades on the Uniswap V4 market are subject to a **2% fee**, distributed the same way as during the Bonding Curve phase:

* 1% to Creator Rewards
* 0.2% to Trade Referral Rewards
* 0.2% to Create Referral Rewards
* 0.6% to Base.meme

Coins created **before December 5,** **2025**will be migrated to **Uniswap V3** after graduat&#x65;**.** All trades on the Uniswap V3 market are subject to a **1% fee**, distributed as follows:

* 0.5% to Creator Rewards
* 0.1% to Create Referral Rewards
* 0.4% to Base.meme

**Important notes:**

* Market rewards are only paid after the coin has graduated from the Bonding Curve phase and the Uniswap market (V3 or V4) is deployed.
* Coins created on or after December 5, 2025 use Uniswap V4 market; while coins created before that date use Uniswap V3 market.
* Market rewards are NOT earned on trades on alternative markets established by third parties.
* For Uniswap V4, market rewards for buy and sell trades are paid in the pair token selected at token creation, which may be ETH, USDC or SOL on Base.
* For Uniswap V3, market rewards for buy trades are paid in chain native token, which is ETH, while those for sell trades are paid in the coin being traded.
* In both Uniswap V3 and V4 markets, rewards accumulate in Base.meme’s Reward Protocol and must be claimed manually before they reach user wallets.

## Understanding Each Reward:

### Creator Rewards:

Earned by the coin creator. The recipient remains the same across all trades for the same coin.

### Trade Referral Rewards:

Earned by users who drive traffic that results in a trade. Each trade can have a different reward recipient, even for the same coin.

### Create Referral Rewards:

If the creator of the coin was invited to Base.meme by another user, the inviter gets this reward. The recipient remains the same across all trades for the same coin.

### Base.meme Fee:

This fee helps support the ongoing development and maintenance of the platform.

# Fee Structure

Base.meme operates on Base with following fee structures setup. Below is a summary of each fee, and its rate.

## 1. First Buy Fee

**How it's charged:** Collected as an extra fee from first buyer of the coin.\
**Note:** Create on Base.meme is completely free. First buy fee is charged on whoever first bought the created coin.

| Paired with | Amount     |
| ----------- | ---------- |
| ETH         | 0.0015 ETH |
| USDC        | 5 USDC     |
| SOL         | 0.04 SOL   |

## 2. Trading Fee (Bonding Curve Phase)

**Fee Rate:** 2%\
**Note:** Fees are charged in the pair token selected at token creation, which may be ETH, USDC or SOL on Base.

| Distribution       | Rate |
| ------------------ | ---- |
| Creator            | 1%   |
| Creator's Referrer | 0.2% |
| Trade Referrer     | 0.2% |
| Base.meme          | 0.6% |

## 3. Seeding Fee (Liquidity Pool Creation)

**How it's charged:** Deducted from the liquidity pool at the time of pool creation.\
**Note:** Fees are charged in the pair token selected at token creation, which may be ETH, USDC or SOL on Base.

For **Standard mode** coins, the seeding fee is charged using the fixed amounts below.

| Paired with | Amount   | DEX Protocol | Pool Type     |
| ----------- | -------- | ------------ | ------------- |
| ETH         | 0.15 ETH | Uniswap      | V3 or V4 pool |
| USDC        | 500 USDC | Uniswap      | V4 pool       |
| SOL         | 4 SOL    | Uniswap      | V4 pool       |

For **Advanced mode** coins, the seeding fee is **6% of the coin’s funding target (`Raised`)**, charged in the selected payment token. Base.meme will show the final amount before you confirm creation.

## 4. LP Fee (After Graduation)

**Fee Rate:** Depends on when the coin was created:\
\- For coins created on or after December 5, 2025 (Uniswap V4): **2% of each trade**.\
\- For coins created before December 5, 2025 (Uniswap V3): **1% of each trade**.\
**LP Token Handling:** After liquidity is added, LP tokens are held by the token's bonding curve contract and cannot be withdrawn or transferred, ensuring permanent liquidity lock.\
**Note:** Fees are charged in the pair token selected at token creation, which may be ETH, USDC or SOL on Base.

**Uniswap V4 pools (coins created on or after December 5, 2025)**

| Distribution       | Rate |

## 5. Tax Token Fees

**Tax Tokens** use a separate factory and a different fee structure than the standard V4 deployment. They graduate to **Uniswap V2** and support an optional creator-defined transfer/trade tax. See [Tax Token](/fees-rewards/tax-token) for full details.

### Platform Trading Fee (Bonding Curve only)

The platform trading fee on Tax Tokens during the **bonding-curve phase** is **1%** (vs **2%** on V4 coins). It is split as follows:

| Distribution       | Rate |
| ------------------ | ---- |
| Creator            | 0.5% |
| Creator's Referrer | 0.1% |
| Trade Referrer     | 0.1% |
| Base.meme          | 0.3% |

After graduation, Tax Tokens trade on standard **Uniswap V2** pools. Uniswap V2 does not support protocol fee collection on pool swaps, so Base.meme does not collect a platform trading fee on graduated trades — only the standard V2 LP fee (0.3%) applies, which accrues to the bonding curve contract as the LP holder.

### Migration Fee

When a Tax Token reaches its funding target and graduates to Uniswap V2, a one-time migration fee equal to **6% of the funding target** is charged. For a default 2.5 ETH funding target this is 0.15 ETH. The fee is paid in the selected payment token.

### Transfer/Trade Tax (creator-configured)

If the creator enabled the Tax Token feature, an additional tax (0% – creator-defined) is charged on every transfer and trade in the token contract itself. This tax is **separate from and on top of** the platform fee above.

Collected tax accumulates in the token contract and is distributed across up to four channels when `TaxProcessor.dispatch()` runs:

| Channel          | Description                                                                          |
| ---------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Funds Recipient | Direct revenue to the creator's designated wallet, or to a Vault if one is attached. |
| Holder Dividend | Proportional distribution to all token holders via the Dividend Contract. |
| Token Burn | Buyback on Uniswap V2, burned to the dead address. |
| Add to Liquidity | Routes back into the Uniswap V2 LP. |

The split (in basis points totaling 100%) is fixed at creation and immutable. When `TaxProcessor.dispatch()` executes, a 10% processor fee is deducted from the dispatched amount before the channel split is applied.

### Vaults

Creators may attach a **Vault** at creation to automate the **Funds Recipient** channel: SnowBall (buyback & burn), BurnDividend (burn-to-earn), Gift (X-handle controlled), or Split (multi-recipient). See [Vaults](/vaults) for the full strategy comparison.

### Tax Token (ETH Paired)

Tax Tokens use a separate factory and graduate to Uniswap V2 instead of V4. The platform trading fee is 1% (vs 2% for V4) and applies only during the bonding-curve phase.

<table><thead><tr><th width="160.3984375">Fee Stage</th><th width="160.359375">Fee Type</th><th width="153.1875">Amount</th><th>Distribution</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Token Creation</strong></td><td>First Buy Fee</td><td>0.0015 ETH</td><td>To Base.meme</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Bonding Curve</strong></td><td>Trading Fee (1%)</td><td>0.01 ETH<br>(for 1 ETH trade)</td><td><ul><li>Creator: 0.005 ETH</li><li>Creator's referrer: 0.001 ETH</li><li>Trade referrer: 0.001 ETH</li><li>Base.meme: 0.003 ETH</li></ul></td></tr><tr><td><strong>Pool Creation</strong></td><td>Migration Fee</td><td>0.15 ETH<br>(6% of default 2.5 ETH funding target)</td><td>To Base.meme</td></tr><tr><td><strong>After Graduation (Uniswap V2)</strong></td><td>V2 LP Fee (0.3%)</td><td><p>0.003 ETH</p><p>(for 1 ETH trade)</p></td><td>To LP holder (bonding curve contract). Base.meme does not collect a platform fee on graduated trades.</td></tr></tbody></table>

**Note:** If the creator configured a Token Tax, an additional creator-defined percentage is charged on every transfer and trade in the token contract. This tax is separate from the platform fees above and is distributed across the four channels (Funds Recipient / Holder Dividend / Token Burn / Add to Liquidity) when `TaxProcessor.dispatch()` runs. See [Tax Token](/fees-rewards/tax-token) for details.

# Creator Earn

Base.meme makes it easy for creators to earn with passive rewards on market activities.

## 1. Creator trade

As a creator on Base.meme, you do NOT receive any initial allocation of your coin. If you want to own your own coin, you can buy it during the Bonding Curve phase, just like any other participant. Buying early in this phase gives you the best price.

**It is highly recommended that you purchase your own coin at the time of creation. This helps prevent others from attacking or sniping your token and ensures you have an initial stake in your project.**

**TIP:** Strategic buying and holding can maximize your long-term earnings as a creator.

## 2. Creator rewards

Creators also earn passive rewards whenever people trade their coins. There are 2 types of creator rewards:

### Trade rewards (Bonding Curve Phase)

* Earn 1% of the trade value on every trade that happens during the Bonding Curve phase on Base.meme.
* This does NOT apply to trades on other platforms or after the coin graduates to Uniswap.

### Market rewards (After Graduation)

* After your coin graduates from the Bonding Curve phase and the Uniswap market is created, you earn creator rewards on every trade in the Uniswap market.
* For coins created on or after December 5, 2025 (Uniswap V4 market), creators earn 1% of the trade value on every trade.
* For coins created before December 5, 2025 (Uniswap V3 market), creators earn 0.5% of the trade value on every trade.
* For buys: Creators earn their share of the trade value in pair token selected at token creation, which may be ETH, USDC, or SOL on Base.
* For sells:
  * Uniswap V3: Creators earn their share of the trade value in their own coin.
  * Uniswap V4: Creators earn their share of the trade value in pair token selected at token creation, which may be ETH, USDC, or SOL on Base.

Check out our [article](/fees-rewards/rewards-on-base-meme) here for an in-depth breakdown of how protocol rewards work on Base.meme.

# Claim Rewards

On Base.meme, creators and referrers can earn rewards in two phases: during the Bonding Curve phase and after graduation on Uniswap (LP rewards via Uniswap V3 or V4, depending on when the coin was created). In all cases, rewards are ultimately claimed by the user from Base.meme’s Reward Protocol; what differs is how they are deposited into the Reward Protocol.

***

## 1. Claiming Bonding Curve Phase Rewards

During the Bonding Curve phase, rewards (such as creator rewards, trade referral rewards, and create referral rewards) accumulate as users trade your coin on Base.meme. These rewards are automatically deposited into Base.meme’s Reward Protocol.

Your rewards are viewable through your wallet view on the nav bar and your user dashboard. Viewing your dashboard, you can view and claim the total rewards earned.

![Claim boding curve reward](https://2048234607-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F65y0SyGKhKm2kMgGeddO%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-9e730d9b0ac3afa7ab21831fd3c1cf00417111f6%2Frewards_1.gif?alt=media)

**How to claim:**

1. Go to your user dashboard.
2. If you have unclaimed rewards, you will see a 'Claim' button.
3. Click 'Claim' and go to the Rewards page.
4. Connect your wallet.
5. Click 'Claim' and confirm the transaction in your wallet.

***

## 2. Claiming LP (Market) Rewards (After Graduation)

You earn LP rewards (market rewards) from trading activity on the Uniswap pool (V3 for coins created before December 5, 2025 whereas V4 for coins created on or after December 5, 2025). These rewards are distributed to creators and referrers according to the fee structure.

**How it works on Uniswap V3 markets?**

* For buys: Rewards are paid in pair token selected at token creation, which may be ETH, USDC, or SOL on Base.
* For sells: Rewards are paid in your own coin.

![Claim LP rewards](https://2048234607-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F65y0SyGKhKm2kMgGeddO%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-9c9ad444ae00f8c0ec11d6eade0aaea4ccc4e00b%2Frewards_2.gif?alt=media)

**How to claim rewards on Uniswap V3 markets?**

For coins created before December 5, 2025 that migrated to Uniswap V3:

1. Go to your coin's page on Base.meme.
2. Connect your wallet.
3. If there are unclaimed LP rewards in the Uniswap V3 pool, you will see a separate 'Claim LP Rewards' button (or similar indicator).
4. Click 'Claim LP Rewards' to withdraw LP fees from the Uniswap V3 pool and deposit them into Base.meme’s Reward Protocol.
5. After that, go to your user dashboard and follow the steps in the “Claiming Bonding Curve Phase Rewards” section to claim the accumulated rewards (including these LP rewards) to your wallet.

**How it works on Uniswap V4 markets?**

* For coins created on or after December 5, 2025 that migrated to Uniswap V4, both buy / sell activity rewards are paid in pair token selected at token creation, which may be ETH, USDC, or SOL on Base.
* Rewards (LP fees) are automatically withdrawn from the Uniswap V4 pool and deposited into Base.meme’s Reward Protocol together with other rewards. You will see these LP rewards on your Rewards page and claim them in the same way as Bonding Curve rewards.

***

**Note:**

* All rewards (Bonding Curve, Uniswap V3 LP, Uniswap V4 LP) must be claimed manually from Base.meme’s Reward Protocol before they reach your wallet.
* Bonding Curve and Uniswap V4 LP rewards are automatically deposited into the Reward Protocol; Uniswap V3 LP rewards require an extra step to pull them from the Uniswap V3 pool into the Reward Protocol before claiming.
* Make sure to check both sections if your coin has graduated to Uniswap.

# Create Referral

Create Referral is part of Base.meme Protocol Rewards, you will get 0.2% Trade Rewards and 0.1% Market Rewards - refer [Rewards on Base.meme](/fees-rewards/rewards-on-base-meme) for complete details. For every creator you invite, you'll be rewarded every time their Coin gets traded!

# Tax Token

Base.meme's Tax Token feature gives creators control over token economics through configurable transfer and trade taxes. Instead of platform-assigned creator rewards, creators can set up a tax on their token that generates revenue from every transfer and trade.

***

## How Tax Works

A Tax Token charges a configurable percentage on every token transfer and trade. The tax is deducted automatically and accumulates in the token contract. Once the accumulated tax reaches a threshold, the TaxProcessor distributes the funds according to the creator's configured split.

Tax is completely separate from Base.meme's 1% platform trading fee on Tax Tokens. The platform fee is charged on all trades regardless of whether the token has tax enabled.

***

## Distribution Channels

When tax is collected, it is distributed across four channels based on the split configured at creation. Each channel serves a different purpose:

| Channel              | Description                                                                                                                           |
| -------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Funds Recipient** | Direct revenue sent to the creator's designated wallet address. This is the primary way creators earn from their token. |
| **Holder Dividend** | Proportional distribution to all token holders. When this channel is active, a Dividend Contract is deployed to manage distributions. |
| **Token Burn** | Buyback and burn mechanism that purchases tokens from Uniswap V2 and burns them, permanently reducing the circulating supply. |
| **Add to Liquidity** | Routes tax funds back into the Uniswap V2 liquidity pool, deepening liquidity and supporting price stability. |

***

## Configuration During Creation

Tax is configured during token creation and is available in both **Standard** and **Advanced** creation modes. All tax parameters are fixed at creation and cannot be changed afterward.

### Tax Rate

The percentage charged on each token transfer and trade. Setting the tax rate to 0% effectively disables the tax feature.

### Distribution Split

The allocation of collected tax across the four distribution channels, specified in basis points (bps). The total across all four channels must equal 100% of the tax collected.

### Funds Recipient Address

The wallet address that receives the Funds Recipient share of the tax. Defaults to the creator's wallet address.

***

## Processing Mechanism

Tax funds accumulate in the token contract until a threshold is reached. At that point, the `TaxProcessor.dispatch()` function distributes the accumulated tax according to the configured split.

* **Anyone can trigger** the dispatch function — it is a public call.
* An **automated bot** monitors tax accumulation and triggers distribution when the threshold is met, so creators and holders generally do not need to call it manually.

***

## Dividend Claiming

If the Holder Dividend channel is active, token holders earn a proportional share of the tax allocated to dividends.

* Holders can manually claim their dividends by calling `withdrawDividends()` on the Dividend Contract.
* Automated distributions may also deliver dividends to holders without requiring manual action.

***

## Key Points

* **Tax is optional** — creators can set a 0% tax rate to launch without any token tax.
* **Separate from platform fees** — Base.meme's platform trading fee on Tax Tokens (1%) applies to all trades regardless of the token's tax configuration.
* **Immutable after creation** — the tax rate, distribution split, and funds recipient address are all fixed at token creation and cannot be modified later.
* **Available in both modes** — Tax configuration is accessible in both Standard and Advanced creation modes.

***

# Creating a Coin

This guide covers how to create coins directly using the **Basememe Factory** contract.

**Basememe** **Factory** contract creates Coins, setting up Bonding Curves and initializing Uniswap pools. Coins created before December 5, 2025 are configured to use Uniswap V3 pools, while coins created on or after December 5, 2025 are using Uniswap V4 pools. Each **Coin** is configured to have a Bonding Curve and a Liquidity pool setup with a coin pair of its backing currency on each chain.

## Create Coin

To create a new coin with selected collateral pair, you send a transaction to call the `createBasememeTokenWithCollateral` method.

You may create token with following collateral:

## Create and Buy Coin

To create and buy a new coin with a selected collateral pair, you send a transaction to call the `createBasememeTokenAndBuyWithCollateral` method.

You may create token with following collateral:

<table><thead><tr><th width="209.484375">Collateral Pair</th><th>Address</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>ETH</td><td><code>0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000</code></td></tr><tr><td>USDC</td><td><code>0x833589fCD6eDb6E08f4c7C32D4f71b54bdA02913</code></td></tr><tr><td>SOL</td><td><code>0x311935Cd80B76769bF2ecC9D8Ab7635b2139cf82</code></td></tr></tbody></table>

### Method Interface

```solidity
// solidity interface
/// @notice Create a new token and buy upon creation with required params
///
/// @param _name The name of the token
/// @param _symbol The symbol/ticker of the token
/// @param _tokenURI The IPFS URI of token metadata
/// @param _nonce Random number for salt generation
/// @param _collateralAmountIn The exact amount of collateral to spend (before fees)
/// @param _tokenAmountMin Min expected amount of token to receive
/// @param _signature The verify-able signature for token creation
/// @param _platformReferrer The Creator Referrer address to receive reward
/// @param _payoutRecipient The Creator address to receive reward
/// @param _tokenSalt Salt for deterministic CREATE2 deployment. Enables predictable token addresses.
/// @param _collateralToken Selected collateral pair for created token
///
/// @return token The address of the created token
function createBasememeTokenAndBuyWithCollateral(
    string memory _name,
    string memory _symbol,
    string memory _tokenURI,
    uint256 _nonce,
    uint256 _collateralAmountIn,
    uint256 _tokenAmountMin,
    bytes memory _signature,
    address _platformReferrer,
    address _payoutRecipient,
    bytes32 _tokenSalt,
    address _collateralToken
)
    external
    payable
    returns (address);
```

**Payment notes**

* If `_collateralToken` is `ETH` (`address(0)`), send `msg.value == _collateralAmountIn`.
* If `_collateralToken` is an ERC20 collateral token (e.g. USDC / SOL), `msg.value` must be `0` and the caller must approve the Factory to spend `_collateralAmountIn` of the collateral token.

### Events

The factory emit `NewBasememeToken` event upon successful coin creation

In addition, a `NewBasememeTokenCurveParams` event is emitted at creation time to publish the token's economic parameters, including the selected `collateralToken` and `v4LpFee`.

```solidity
/// @notice emitted when a new token is created
///
/// @param addr The token contract address
    address owner,
    uint256 nonce,
    string name,
    string symbol,
    string tokenURI,
    string version
);
```

Successful purchase of new coin create will emit `Buy` event

```solidity
/// @notice emitted upon successful token purchase
## Create Coin (Advanced Mode)
Advanced mode lets creators customize the coin’s funding target and token allocation at creation time. To create an advanced-mode coin with a selected collateral pair, call `createBasememeTokenDynamicWithCollateral`.
### Method Interface
```solidity
/// @notice Create a new token using advanced parameters (dynamic-create) and a selected collateral pair.
///
/// @param targetRaise The funding target (in the selected collateral token's units).
function createBasememeTokenDynamicWithCollateral(
    string memory _name,
    string memory _symbol,
    string memory _tokenURI,
    uint256 _nonce,
    bytes memory _signature,
    address _platformReferrer,
    address _payoutRecipient,
    bytes32 _tokenSalt,
    address _collateralToken,
    uint256 targetRaise
)
    external
    returns (address);
```
Advanced mode also supports an optional vesting allocation via an additional overload:
```solidity
/// @notice Create a new token using advanced parameters (dynamic-create) with an optional vesting allocation.
///
/// @param lockBps Vesting allocation in basis points (bps).
/// @param lockupDuration Lockup duration in seconds.
/// @param vestingDuration Vesting duration in seconds.
/// @param lockAdmin The admin address for the vesting schedule.
function createBasememeTokenDynamicWithCollateral(
    string memory _name,
    string memory _symbol,
    string memory _tokenURI,
    uint256 _nonce,
    bytes memory _signature,
    address _platformReferrer,
    address _payoutRecipient,
    bytes32 _tokenSalt,
    address _collateralToken,
    uint256 targetRaise,
    uint16 lockBps,
    uint64 lockupDuration,
    uint64 vestingDuration,
    address lockAdmin
)
    external
    returns (address);
```
### Events
In addition to `NewBasememeToken` and `NewBasememeTokenCurveParams`, advanced-mode creation emits `NewBasememeTokenDynamicParams` to publish the selected/derived advanced parameters for indexers and integrators.
```solidity
/// @notice Emitted when an advanced-mode token is created, including derived parameters.
event NewBasememeTokenDynamicParams(
    address indexed addr,
    address indexed bondingCurve,
    bytes32 indexed profileId,
    uint256 targetRaise,
    uint16 sellBps,
    uint256 lockAmount,
    uint256 virtualTokenReservesInitial,
    uint256 virtualCollateralReservesInitial,
    uint256 endPriceNum,
    uint256 endPriceDen,
    int24 upperBelow,
    int24 lowerAbove,
    int24 lowBelowTick,
    uint256 pairedToMigrateMin
);
```
    uint256 tokenReserves
);
```

## Additional Info

There're 2 params in both create token method that need extra attention:

* `_tokenURI` : All the metadata about created coins are stored on IPFS. You need to upload your image and the meta of your token to IPFS following example below:

```json
{
    name: "My Base Memecoin",
    description: "Base for everyone!",
    symbol: "MYBASECOIN",
    image: "ipfs://CID/base_coin.png",
    website: "https://example.com",
    x: "https://x.com/my_base_coin",
    telegram: "https://t.me/my_base_coin",
}
```

* `_signature` : For the moment, there's no signature required to create a coin using Basememe Factory, pass in empty bytes value for \_signature will do the job.

# Trading Coins

This guide covers how to trade coins created through **Basememe** **Factory** on both Bonding Curve stage and Post graduation stage.

During Bonding Curve stage Coins trading happens through **Basememe** **Factory** contract whereas after graduated, coins trading will move to Liquidity pool (DEX). Check detailed info about trading in both stage below:

* [Bonding Curve Stage Trading](/for-developers/trading-coins/bonding-curve-stage-trading)
* [Factory Trade Helper (ETH In / ETH Out)](/for-developers/trading-coins/factory-trade-helper)
* [After Graduation Stage Trading](/for-developers/trading-coins/after-graduation-stage-trading)

# Bonding Curve Stage Trading

This guide covers coin trading during the Bonding Curve stage which is executed through the **Basememe Factory** contract.

Coins can be configured with different collateral pairs on Base (ETH / USDC / SOL). The trading flow depends on whether a coin uses native ETH collateral (`tokenToCollateralToken(token) == address(0)`) or an ERC20 collateral token.

## Buy Coins with Exact Collateral Value

The `buyExactInWithCollateral` method accepts a specified collateral amount and buys the maximum possible number of coins for that input.

### Method Interface

<pre class="language-solidity"><code class="lang-solidity">// solidity interface

<strong>/// @notice Buy maximum coin with specified collateral amount
</strong>///
/// @param _token The token contract address
/// @param _collateralAmountIn The amount of collateral to spend on buying token
/// @param _amountOutMin The minimum amount of token expected to receive for collateral amount sending in
/// @param _tradeReferrer The Trade Referrer address to receive reward
function buyExactInWithCollateral(
    address _token,
    uint256 _collateralAmountIn,
    uint256 _amountOutMin,
    address _tradeReferrer
)
    external
    payable;
</code></pre>

**Payment notes**

* For ETH-collateral coins, send `msg.value == _collateralAmountIn`.
* For ERC20-collateral coins (e.g. USDC / SOL), `msg.value` must be `0` and the caller must approve the Factory to spend `_collateralAmountIn` of the collateral token.

### Events

A `Buy` event will be emitted upon successful coin purchase.

```solidity
/// @notice emitted upon successful token purchase during Bonding Curve stage
///
/// @param buyer The token buyer address
/// @param token The purchased token address
/// @param tokenAmount The amount of token purhased
## Buy Coins with Exact Collateral Value (ETH Pair Only)
The `buyExactIn` method is the legacy ETH-only exact-in entrypoint. It only works for coins whose collateral pair is native ETH and will revert for coins that use ERC20 collateral (e.g. USDC / SOL). For multi-collateral support, use `buyExactInWithCollateral`.
### Method Interface
<pre class="language-solidity"><code class="lang-solidity">// solidity interface
<strong>/// @notice Buy maximum coin with specified collateral amount
</strong>///
/// @param _token The token contract address
/// @param _amountOutMin The minimum amount of token expected to receive for collateral amount sending in
/// @param _tradeReferrer The Trade Referrer address to receive reward
function buyExactIn(
    address _token,
    uint256 _amountOutMin,
    address _tradeReferrer
)
    external
    payable;
</code></pre>
### Events
A `Buy` event will be emitted upon successful coin purchase.
## Buy Exact Coin Amount
The `buyExactOut` method allows the buyer to specify the exact number of coins to purchase, while setting a maximum collateral amount willing to spend.
**Payment notes**
* For ETH-collateral coins, send your max as `msg.value` and set `_maxCollateralAmount` accordingly.
* For ERC20-collateral coins (e.g. USDC / SOL), do not send ETH (`msg.value` should be `0`) and approve the Factory to spend up to `_maxCollateralAmount` of the collateral token.
### Method Interface
```solidity
// solidity interface

/// @notice Buy exact amount of coin
///
/// @param _token The token contract address
/// @param _tokenAmount The amount of token expect to receive
/// @param _maxCollateralAmount The maximum amount of collateral expected to spent
/// @param _tradeReferrer The Trade Referrer address to receive reward
function buyExactOut(
    address _token,
    uint256 _tokenAmount,
    uint256 _maxCollateralAmount,
    address _tradeReferrer
)
    external
    payable;
```
### Events
A `Buy` event will be emitted upon successful coin purchase.
```solidity
/// @notice emitted upon successful token purchase during Bonding Curve stage

## Sell Exact Coin Amount

The `sellExactIn` method accepts the exact number of coins to sell and receives at least the minimum expected collateral amount in return. The collateral received depends on the coin's selected collateral pair (ETH / USDC / SOL).

```solidity
// solidity interface
/// @notice Sell exact amount of coin
///
function sellExactIn(
    address _token,
    uint256 _tokenAmount,
    uint256 _amountCollateralMin,
    address _tradeReferrer
)
    external;
```

### Events

A `Sell` event will be emitted upon successful coin sale.

# Factory Trade Helper (ETH In / ETH Out)

This guide covers Bonding Curve stage trading through the **Basememe Factory Trade Helper** contract.

Coins on Base.meme can be created with different collateral pairs (ETH / USDC / SOL). For coins that use an ERC20 collateral token (e.g. USDC / SOL), interacting with the Factory directly requires the caller to hold and approve that collateral token.

The Trade Helper provides a simplified interface that lets callers trade using **ETH only**:

* **Buy:** pay in ETH, receive the coin
* **Sell:** pay in the coin, receive ETH

Internally, the helper swaps between ETH and the coin’s configured collateral token, then calls the Factory.

## Quote Methods

These methods return the coin’s configured collateral token and an estimated conversion amount between ETH and that collateral token.

```solidity
function quoteEthToCollateralForToken(address token, uint256 ethIn)
    external
    returns (address collateralToken, uint256 collateralOut);
function quoteCollateralToEthForToken(address token, uint256 collateralIn)
    external
    returns (address collateralToken, uint256 ethOut);
```

## Trading Methods

### Buy with ETH

```solidity
function buyWithEth(address token, uint256 funds, uint256 minTokenOut, address tradeReferrer)
    external
    payable
    returns (uint256 tokenOut, uint256 refundOut);
```

* `funds` must match `msg.value`.
* `refundOut` is any leftover ETH refunded back to the caller (e.g. due to fee/price movement or swap output variance).

### Sell for ETH

```solidity
function sellForEth(address token, uint256 tokenAmountIn, uint256 minEthOut, address tradeReferrer)
    external
    returns (uint256 ethOut);
```

The caller must approve the helper to transfer `tokenAmountIn` of the coin before selling.

# After Graduation Stage Trading

This guide covers coin trading after the graduation stage in Liquidity pools (DEX), executed through the Uniswap protocol.

## Uniswap Protocol (V3 / V4)

Coins created before December 5, 2025 are migrated to Uniswap V3 pools, while coins created on or after December 5, 2025 are migrated to Uniswap V4 pools. In both cases, post-graduation trading happens through the respective Uniswap protocol.

For swapping (trading) on Uniswap V3 protocol, kindly refer to [V3 swap documentation](https://docs.uniswap.org/contracts/v3/reference/periphery/interfaces/ISwapRouter#functions) for detail. For Uniswap V4, please refer to [V4 swap documentation](https://docs.uniswap.org/contracts/v4/quickstart/swap) for detail.

### Trade Referrer via Hook Data (Uniswap V4)

For coins traded on Uniswap V4 pools, Base.meme integrates with a custom hook contract. When executing swaps against these pools, integrators can encode a trader referrer address inside the Uniswap V4 `hookData` field. This address will be treated as the Trade Referrer for that trade, and the share of LP fees allocated to trade referrers (see the [Fee Structure](/fees-rewards/fee-structure)) will be assigned to this address through Base.meme's Reward Protocol.

The hook only treats `hookData` as a valid Trade Referrer when it contains exactly one ABI-encoded address (32 bytes). In practice, this means:

* To set a Trade Referrer, set `hookData` to the ABI encoding of the desired referrer address (one address, 32 bytes).
* If `hookData` is empty or its length is not 32 bytes, the Trade Referrer is considered unset and no trade referrer rewards are allocated for that swap.

# Migrating Coins

This guide covers how to migrate graduated coins to Liquidity pool (DEX) using the **Basememe Factory** contract.

## Migrate Graduated Coin

To migrate a graduated coin, you send a transaction to call the `migrate` method.

### Method Interface

```solidity
// solidity interface
/// @notice Migrate a graduated token to Liquidity pool (DEX)
///
/// @param _token The graduated token address
function migrate(address _token) external nonReentrant;
```

### Events

Successful migration will emit a `Migrated` event.

```solidity
/// @notice emitted when a graduated token is migrated
///
/// @param addr The token contract address
event Migrated(
    address token,
    uint256 tokenId,
    uint128 liquidity,
    uint256 amount0,
    uint256 amount1,
    uint256 migrationFee
);
```

# Claiming Market Rewards

This guide explains how to claim secondary market rewards through a coin's Bonding Curve contract after it has migrated to Uniswap. For coins using Uniswap V3, LP fees must be actively pulled from the Uniswap V3 pool into Base.meme’s Reward Protocol via the method below. For coins using Uniswap V4, LP fees are automatically forwarded into the Reward Protocol on each trade; recipients then claim from the Reward Protocol as usual.\
\
**Note:** For coin's Bonding Curve stage reward, it will automatically deposit into Base.meme's Reward Protocol. No additional step required before reward recipient claim it from Base.meme.

### Claim Secondary Market Reward (Uniswap V3)

For coins that use Uniswap V3 pools (created before December 5, 2025), the `claimSecondaryRewards` method withdraws LP fees from the Uniswap V3 pool and deposits them into Base.meme's Reward Protocol according to the defined [reward structure](/fees-rewards/rewards-on-base-meme). After this step, reward recipients can claim their rewards from Base.meme’s Reward Protocol like other rewards.

### Method Interface

```solidity
// solidity interface
/// @notice Migrate a graduated token to Liquidity pool (DEX)
///
/// @param pushEthRewards Whether to automatically transfer ETH or native token rewards into receipient wallet
function claimSecondaryRewards(bool pushEthRewards) external;
```

### Events

Upon successful claim a `LiquidityRewardsDistributed` event will be emitted

```solidity
/// @notice emitted when claim secondary reward invoked
///
/// @param payoutRecipient The reward receiving address, usually creator
/// @param platformReferrer The Trade Referrer reward receiving address, if applicable
/// @param protocolRewardRecipient The platform fee receiving address
event LiquidityRewardsDistributed(
    address indexed payoutRecipient,
    address indexed platformReferrer,
    address protocolRewardRecipient,
    LiquidityRewards liquidityRewards
);
/// @notice The LiquidityRewards type
///
/// @params totalAmountCurrency The total collateral amount claimed
/// @params totalAmountCoin The total Coin amouint claimed
/// @params creatorPayoutAmountCurrency The total collateral amount for creator
/// @params creatorPayoutAmountCoin The total coin amount for creator
/// @params platformReferrerAmountCurrency The total collateral amount for Trade Referrer
/// @params platformReferrerAmountCoin The total coin amount for Trade Referrer
/// @params protocolAmountCurrency The total collateral amount for platform
/// @params protocolAmountCoin The total coin amount for platform
struct LiquidityRewards {
    uint256 totalAmountCurrency;
    uint256 totalAmountCoin;
    uint256 creatorPayoutAmountCurrency;
    uint256 creatorPayoutAmountCoin;
    uint256 platformReferrerAmountCurrency;
    uint256 platformReferrerAmountCoin;
    uint256 protocolAmountCurrency;
    uint256 protocolAmountCoin;
}
```

# Utils

This guide covers additional helper methods for calculations and state checks, such as coin purchase/sale estimation, Bonding Curve progress and etc. These method shall execute through individual coin's Bonding Curve contract.

## Estimate Receiving Amount with Fixed Input Amount

The `getAmountOutAndFee` method estimate the amount to be receive and fee to be paid by specifying an exact input amount. For example, estimating coin amount to be receive with a fixed collateral amount or collateral amount to be receive with specific coin amount.

This method usually used in conjunction with `buyExactIn` and `sellExactIn` method during trading action in Bonding Curve stage.

### Method Interface

```solidity
// solidity interface
/// @notice Estimate amount to receive & fee to pay for an fixed input amount during Bonding Curve stage
///
/// @param _amountIn The fixed input amount of coin/collateral
/// @param _reserveIn The virtual reserve amount of input type
/// @param _reserveOut The virtual reserve amount of output type
/// @param _paymentTokenIsIn The _amountIn is collateral or not
///
/// @return amountOut The estimated return coin/collateral amount
/// @return fee The platform fee charged
function getAmountOutAndFee(
    uint256 _amountIn,
    uint256 _reserveIn,
    uint256 _reserveOut,
    bool _paymentTokenIsIn
) external view returns (uint256 amountOut, uint256 fee);
```

## Estimate Input Amount with Fixed Receiving Amount

The `getAmountInAndFee` method estimate the input amount and fee to be paid by specifying an exact output amount. For example, estimating collateral amount to be pay with a fixed coin amount to be receive.

This method usually used in conjunction with `buyExactOut` and `sellExactOut` method during trading action in Bonding Curve stage.

### Method Interface

```solidity
// solidity interface
/// @notice Estimate input amount & fee to pay for an fixed output amount during Bonding Curve stage
///
/// @param _amountOut The fixed output amount of coin/collateral
/// @param _reserveIn The virtual reserve amount of output type
/// @param _reserveOut The virtual reserve amount of input type
/// @param _paymentTokenIsIn The _amountIn is collateral or not
///
/// @return amountIn The requred input coin/collateral amount
/// @return fee The platform fee charged
function getAmountInAndFee(
    uint256 _amountOut,
    uint256 _reserveIn,
    uint256 _reserveOut,
    bool _paymentTokenIsOut
) external view returns (uint256 amountIn, uint256 fee);
```

***

## Get Coin Bonding Curve Contract

The `tokenToBondingCurve` mapping in **Basememe Factory** is available to retrieve respective Token's Bonding Curve contract and return it address.

### Method Interface

```solidity
// solidity interface
mapping(address => address) public tokenToBondingCurve;
```

***

## Get Coin Collateral Token

Each Bonding Curve stores the collateral token configured at coin creation. The `collateralToken` method returns the collateral token address.

* `address(0)` means the coin uses native ETH as collateral.
* Otherwise, it returns the ERC20 collateral token address (e.g. USDC / SOL on Base).

### Method Interface

```solidity
// solidity interface
function collateralToken() external view returns (address);
```

***

## Check Coin Bonding Curve Progress

The `getCurveProgressBps` method check coin's current Bonding Curve progress and return in basis point form.

### Method Interface

<pre class="language-solidity"><code class="lang-solidity"><strong>// solidity interface
</strong>
/// @notice Get coin current bonding curve progress
///
/// @return progress BPS
function getCurveProgressBps() external view returns (uint256);
</code></pre>

***

## Check Coin Market Cap

The `getMarketCap` method calculate and return coin's current market cap calculated in respective collateral token value. The market cap is only applicable to Bonding Curve stage.

### Method Interface

```solidity
// solidity interface
/// @notice Get coin current market cap in bonding curve
///
/// @return market cap in collateral token value
function getMarketCap() external view returns (uint256);
```
